A New Beginning

Congratulations to Sergeant Mario Vasquez who has accepted a position at City College of San Francisco District Police Department as of July 1, 2021. He will be their Chief of Police.

Sergeant Vasquez is retiring from San Joaquin Delta College Police Department after 30 years of service.

Over the past 30 years, Mario has contributed so much to keeping the Delta campus community safe. Mario has been instrumental in their COVID-19 response. Over the past few years, helping the campus Emergency Response Team to navigate the protocols and procedures that help keep the community safe and healthy. He will be missed around campus, but we understand. There are so many examples of Mario’s commitment to excellence, his dedication and abundance of energy have helped make the campus a great place!
